The illumination of steps and public access areas is a safety requirement. Vandalism, light level, maintenance and running cost are all issues facing the design brief.

FibreLED were involved the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke luminaire to be recessed into the stainless steel handrail. The LED strip system is resin sealed for maximum moisture protection, installed into a pvc channel with a polycarbonate face cove for vandalism protection. System is also low voltage and consumes less that 5watts per metre so consumption costs are negligible. The system also requires little or no maintenance.
