The Academy Plaza Hotel

The Academy Hotel in Dublin had up to 300m of Xenon lighting within decorative coffers throughout the hotel’s reception bar and dining area. The system was consuming up to 85watts per metre and required regular maintenance.

The Xenon was running almost 24hours per day and was proving very costly. The system was also proving extremely costly to maintain and had entire sections that were completely out. The hotel was conscious or running costs and needed a solution that coupled with low consumption would offer the warm white colour, would offer a strong level of light and would require no maintenance. FibreLED’s system met all the requirements and was quickly and easily retrofitted. The FLpod LED LUX warm white is a flexible high output LED strip system it consumes around 5watt per metre and compared to the 85watts. Based on these huge savings the system will have paid for itself within a year.
